*kkkkksssssshhhhhhhhhhh radio springs to life…*
Hello! Hope you’re having a good year so far. I have announcements:
Comix are coming!
I’m really pleased to announce that I’ve been working on a comix/storyboard set on a selection of Ovid’s Metamorphoses with the Cambridge Schools Classics Project’s Classical Tales website, providing teaching resources aimed to support teachers in bringing the richness of classic tales to life in the classroom. The comix/storyboards will accompany the already-available (and fantastic!) audio resources by two of Britain’s leading professional storytellers, Daniel Morden and Hugh Lupton, whose version of the Iliad, ‘War With Troy: The Story Of Achilles’ is already in my KS3 scheme of work. I’m really excited to be adding to this project, and will be posting links to these resources soon.
I’m going public!
That is, I’ll be running workshops and/or speaking at a number of events in the UK this year , so I have a new page, Talks and Workshops, that will give you the run-down. Details can be found at the bottom of this post. With that in mind, I have a real request: if you’ve used Greek Myth Comix in the classroom, lecture theatre, symposium, revision, or anything else, could you tweet me or message me and tell me what and how? I’d love to be able to showcase real student/teacher work in my talks. Pics are even better! Thanks so much!
All the best,
