Greek Myth Comix for Education

“A tongue-in-cheek retelling of Homer’s Odyssey in the style of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”

Greek Myth Comix was originally started to help the students in my Classics KS4 and KS5 classes to understand the concepts behind the Homeric epics and Greek pantheon.

Please feel free to show the comix in situ on the website in class or email links to students, but please don’t copy and save them without giving credit. (NB: If you don’t know how to behave appropriately with regards to other people’s intellectual and creative property, check out my Copyright Page or this Guide to correct behaviour (Xenia) )

  1. Thanks for sharing all this magnificent work! I am a teacher of modern languages and one of my students is very interested in “classical myths”, as she told me. I telling her about your blog and I hope she becomes as hooked as I am.

Once again, many thanks. I am so envious of your many talents!

  2. I wondered if I could get your input:

I am (according to my teacher) an A star Classics student, however I am struggling with exam technique for this exam. Will these comics help get the simple points, and are they sufficient for A01 points (the 5 things such as ‘Describe what happens straight after Odysseus lands in Scherie’?

    • That is indeed exactly the type of thing that I had in mind when drawing: all of those detail-heavy sections of text are illustrated to help you remember those details. It has certainly helped my students to have them in a visual aid.
      Good luck with your exam!
